From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a wide array of heroes, and a exciting storyline including angels, demons, and malevolent powers growing in strength within the city.
Warning: Revealing details for the latest installment of the new season lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Revealed
Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of heroes who will split off from the central cast to begin their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table includes the determined fighter (played by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.
What Defines the Soldiers Table
As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might look unsuited, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
First, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death started the narrative’s action—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.
The traitor then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each adventurer has a individual motive to exit the urban setting:
- The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure has experience in the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous place.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
- But, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group access places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, Teor vowed a life debt to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are sought by the powers that rule the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The rogue and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This leaves them little choice but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.
What’s Next?
From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the combat party will not appear the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to round up the Seekers and Schemers groups.
Audiences can anticipate discovering which players will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on next week.
