The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Fans' Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a large cast of personalities living within the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated earlier this year. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I want some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season moves, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans make a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
