I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
