Automobiles in German Town Found Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Police reported they were contacted by a individual who noticed a vehicle in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Roughly 50 vehicles have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Vehicles, walls and mailboxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a release.

Officers say they were notified late on Wednesday, when a individual observed that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish substance.

The fluid had been placed in the pattern of a banned symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then located numerous other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are banned in Germany under legislation outlawing the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials state preliminary tests suggest the fluid was probably human blood.

"Currently there is no clue as to its source; officials are presently not cognizant of any harm in relation with the event," they commented.

City officials stated they were working "to solve the case" and have requested to the public for details.

A senior representative said the vandalism made him speechless and needed to be resolved rapidly.

"This event strikes at the center of Hanau and reopens the pain of the right-wing terrorist attack half a decade ago," he wrote on social media, referring to the death of nine people by a gunman targeting residents of migrant background in February 2020.
